Birthday Post + The Joker's Birthday Game. ♦

Hello, hello everyone!
I'm finally having some time to write a birthday post! It's still not too late! Hehe.
I had a very busy and stressful couple of days at work before my birthday. We invited my kids' parents to work with their children for an hour. And even tho it may be something fun for some, it's stressful for me. Anyways, I survived!

I feel like somehow, this year my birthday was a little different. Don't know how to explain but, it just felt different. I feel like I've learned a lot through the past year and I am willing to learn more.
I had a lovely birthday week! And even tho I felt exhausted by the end of the week, it was all worth it. I love to spend time with my loved ones.
I really  want to thank you all for the messages, hugs, celebrations and gifts. I am spoiled and so lucky to have great, loving people around me. Special thanks to the people that sticked to me through all the ups and downs, never leaving my side when I need them the most. And big, big thank you to my family, boyfriend and friends/coworkers for making my week, such a great one. ♥ Love you all.

NOTE: This year I ate more than I do in other birthdays! Literally a week of non-stop eating!

I usually make a birthday pressies post but, I'll change it this year! (mainly cuz I already ate some of the gifts and others are organized now)
This year I'll share with you a bit of what happened on Mr. J's birthday game~

DING DING DING! On wednesday I recieved the invitation to my own birthday game, Friday at 8:00am. I was curious as in what it'd be.

A super duper cool happy birthday tune started playing at 8am so, that was my sign, Let the game begin!!

First stop had many notes, a big Harley Quinn birthday card and many weapons to choose from. I had 15 more stops ahead.

Once I chose my weapon (a gun), the rules were simple:
1. Smile and laugh all the time
2. Destroy Batman and Robin
3. Read the instructions out loud
4. Do exactly what you read
5. Enjoy the game
And so I did...

Every number had a different thing to do, from choosing between Batman, Robin or The Joker; to opening gifts or singing a song. I have to confess I was still a little sleepy but I had fun!

Last stop had this box and a Game Over sign. Behind the box was the cutest Sailor Moon birthday cake ever and a Luna plushie! Such a sweet deet from someone as crazy as the Joker! Heheheeh.
I'll be putting the video together this week (hopefully) so I can share it with you guys. It'll be easier than trying to explain it in here.
Thank you Puddin!

To finish this post, I want to wish my dad a happy birthday! We celebrate our birthdays a few days apart so, yeah! Many more birthdays to come to the #1 man in my life.

Funny thing was, my b-day was Joker and Harley themed
and my dad's was Batman themed...
Bye for now!!!!!

My May Favorites 2016 (。’▽’。)♡

With all the craziness going on around me, I almost forgot that the month is literally over...yeah, I don't even know the day I'm living in.
Can't believe my birthday is just around the corner!!!! Hehe. Ok, with no further do, let's start!

♥ Beauty and Makeup

L'oreal Paris Hydra - Total 5 toner. After listening to many good reviews on it for a drugstore product, I decided to give it a chance and I don't regret it. I usually use it daily, before applying my makeup. I apply it with a cotton pad and patting the product on my face to activate the skin and let it absorb the product a lot better. After using it for a while, I've noticed a better finish on my makeup, my skin feels and looks hydrated and soft. The price was great too! And I still have a lot of product left since a little product, goes a long way. Good option to try if you want to try a toner for the first time.

I'm not new to beauty blenders. I love them! And my mom gave me a one when she was over here visiting, she bought a package from FOREVER21 and at first I was so in love with my Etude House one that I didn't pay much attention to it. But lately, I started using it alot more and I love it! At first I thought it was just to stiff(?) in comparison to the EH one and yeah, the texture is different but it gives a really nice and natural finish to my makeup. I think you can still find them, the package came with 3 different beauty blenders, and if I remember well, they had different shapes too.
NOTE: If you haven't try using a beauty blender yet, go for it! It'll change your life! hehe.

excuse how used it looks!
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I used to love this product! I recently bought it again since the weather became a lot hotter and my skin becomes a little oily. I can honestly say this product gives you oil control for a few hours, it has great coverage and yeah, Rimmel is a good drugstore brand. The two things I don't love about it is that, 1: the lightest color is a little dark for my skin tone and, 2: the packaging breaks easily! Too sad when you carry it around in your purse. Other than that, I love it!

 ♥ Apps

This has been a year of apps for me! Ha! (I blame my friend Arya for this!) This month I've been having fun with the FaceQ app! A cute and fun way to create cartoon avatars! I'm not sure how long I'll keep this app but for now I feel like making a lot of different characters for my friends and stuff.
I believe it's a Chinese app.
Want the app? → FaceQ

♥ Music

AOA new album "Good luck" is pretty good! Super summer-ish and catchy! Some of my fave tracks are "Good luck" and "Cherry Pop"

♥ Random

I've been obsessing over everything Suicide Squad related! Especially Harley-Joker! I know the movie isn't out yet, and I was never a DC fan but, yeah, I could become a DC villain fan real soon.
"I started a Joke" (song of the SS Comic-Con trailer) has been on my mind a lot too! I even downloaded it now.

My Luna keychain! I bought it at the last creative bazar I went and is 100% handmade. I need big keychains because I often forget my keys inside the car so...that's not good. Hopefully this one will help me with that! You can also hide your keys inside Luna's head and it'll look like a cute mini bag.

That is it for this month guys, not many things but I guess it's better this than nothing!!
Until next time!

What I've been watching lately #5 (Movies, Anime and short films)

Hello, hello you guys! Even tho I have been a little busy lately, I've been enjoying some shows and movies at the end of my days. There is no better way to relax! Between Netflix, YouTube and some anime recommendations, here is what I've been watching for the past month or so.

Para Elisa (For Elisa) is a Spanish horror movie. Basically about a college student who is looking for a part-time job and is held captive by her employer after she agrees to become the nanny of a crazy "girl"
I wouldn't say it's scary but, it makes you watch until the end and gives you a little tension. Unexpected ending and, the movie is actually pretty short!

Warm Bodies. I remember when I was madly in love with Nick Hoult~~~~ Well, this movie made me adore him a ton! Zombies, romance and a little comedy sounds like a good combo to me. I know most of you already saw it but, yeah. A zombie falling in love is something you don't see everyday. Kinda cute, kinda funny but I think it's worth your time if you like zombies.

My neighbor Totoro. I finally saw this movie! Not that I wasn't familiar to the characters because my friend Keisha has been a huge Totoro fan for a while now. I decided that I wanted to watch all of the movies Studio Ghibli has. I've loved the ones I've seen so, I want to watch more and more.
I loved the characters, I loved the creatures and Totoro makes me want to hug him!!

未来日記 (Mirai Nikki / Future Diary) is an anime that personally was not something I would've picked to watch by myself. But I ended up liking it a lot!
The show is pretty much about  group of diary owners. This diaries can predict the future. And they start a battle against each other. The last one standing will become a God.
There are a lot of emotional and psycological things going on during the show. I'd say it is more like an adult anime because of the topics it has. There's also a bit of a sad love story going on. (even if it's an obsessive love, it's still love, yeah? haha.) As for the characters, some of them are complex and you can hate them or love them. Yukki can be one of the most frustrating main characters ever! But, he has a good heart. And Yuno...well, she's a little psycho but, I couldn't help to love her at times.
The show has 26 episodes and one OVA. I haven't seen the OVA yet but I definitely will.

And finally, I'll share with you two Korean short films I saw and thought were entertaining. I really enjoy short films so, yeah.
First one is a "horror" one called Human Form and it shows the impact plastic surgery has on people this days.

And, 어머니 (Mother) An animated short film that shows the struggles a mom has to deal with everyday. Really cute.

And, this is it for now guys! Let me know if you decide to watch some of these. I'll be back with more recommendations for you all!

The type of teacher I want to be + Teachers day & gifts.

Hi there my darlings!
Teachers day was just a few days ago! But since I had so many things to do these past few days, I just got the chance to sit and write a new heart-to-heart related to my job.
As some (or most) of you know, I am an english teacher who works with preschool kids. I've said this before but, I truly think my job is a very rewarding one! There is no one day that is the same. Kids are very spontaneous and they learn super fast! I love English, and I love to see how my kids learn the language, feel so curious about it and even copy my expressions!

But after some years of work, I realized that working with kids around that age is a lot bigger than just helping them to learn a new language, it is also about helping them to become more sure about themselves, to be a little more independent, to show them what they are capable of doing and more.
Sometimes it's easy to just think that teaching is just a "job" but we lose the idea of what that job really means and how much of an impact it can create on a kid.

Because even tho it can be really exciting to see how they learn what you teach them, it's even more great to see how much they change as the school year goes by. And to know you are a big part of that change is the best reward I get from my job.
Some of our kids spend main part of their day at school/daycare with us. We teach, we learn,we play together and yeah, it comes a time when we become a little family. It is a BIG responsibility when you see it that way.

So, the more I think about it, the more I know that yeah, I want them to learn English or all the "academic stuff" we teach them but, I also want to remember me as someone who helped them to become better people, to know what they are really capable of and to always dream big. I want to be a teacher who teaches from the heart, not only a language but also happy life experiences, morals, and who gives them the security they need to always aim for the best.
We're working with little human beings after all.

I'm getting a little emotional since the end of the school year is close to an end~ Hehe.

As for teachers day, we had a nice breakfast together and then took them to have some bubble tea to continue our fun chat. I'm happy to say that more than coworkers, we've become good friends!
I also want to thank all my kids and their parents for always showing us big love and sweet details! I know gifts are not the way to measure love but it always feels nice to see how excited the kids are when they give you one, when they see you using it and also, because it is a way from the parents to show you how thankful they are.
I'm also very thankful for them and for my coworkers/friends. They keep teaching me so much about our job and about life.
Happy teachers day to all my fellow teachers out there! I hope you had a wonderful day and let's always remeber the importance our job has.

Some of the pressies I recieved. Took the pic this morning so I couldn't include the ones that came in today. They keep coming!!! Thank you ♥
